NuGreen Ltd, an active member of the Nordic Centre for Sustainability network, has recently completed a successful pilot of its 4 Stage Approach to sustainable waste management in collaboration with the Lancashire & South Cumbria NHS Integrated Care Board.
The project was implemented across three GP surgeries and aimed to reduce environmental impact, lower waste management costs, and foster a culture of sustainability in primary care settings. NuGreen’s structured methodology: Collect, Analyse, Implement and Futureproof delivered measurable improvements.
This case study highlights how targeted, data-driven interventions can deliver both environmental and financial benefits in healthcare. The NuGreen 4 Stage Approach offers a replicable model that supports the NHS Net Zero targets and has strong potential for wider adoption across the sector.
