framsida ventpngVentilation is big part of the energy-use in a hospital, and healthcare facilities set high demands when it comes to the right ventilation for the right purpose. Efficient and high-performance ventilation is crucial in order to avoid spread of infections and reduce exposure to contaminants. This chapter focuses on ventilation in hospitals and healthcare environments and how to work with ventilation in a sustainable, energy efficient and safe way. The report contains of some background information about ventilation and its environmental impact, as well as examples of different technologies and installations in Swedish hospitals.

In connection to the release of this chapter, we arranged a webinar on the 20th of October to discuss the topic a bit more together with competent speakers from Avidicare, Lindinvent, OCO Nordic and Enjay. Before the webinar we also talked to some Swedish hospitals and regions and asked them a few questions about challenges regarding ventilation, and the answers were later presented and discussed further during the webinar.

The webinar was recorded and will soon be available on NCHS's Youtube channel
