We welcome our new member from Sweden: Hållbar Teknik!
Founded back in 2015 (which also happens to be the same year as NCSH's network was formed), Hållbar Teknik is a platform for rethinking and reworking traditional processes in favour of more sustainable ones. Focused specifically on flooring, their approach is renovation – and hospitals are no exception to this rule. Read about one of their customer cases with Västfastigheter here:
"One of the biggest challenges for hospitals is that they cannot maintain the floors according to the frequency specified by the manufacturers. This is due to the difficulty in moving patients and operations, leading to floor wear and micro-scratches. The scratches create a breeding ground for bacterial growth, which risks making the hospital environment unhygienic.
Together with Vårdhygien at Region Västra Götaland, Trollhättan Hospital and Västfastigheter, we renovated floors in all rooms in the infection department. The carpets were only a few years old and already showed obvious signs of wear. Through our concept, the carpets were saved and the work could be carried out without disrupting business more than the required hours."
