Founded in 1910, Pauls Stradins Clinical University Hospital is one of the largest public hospitals in Latvia with around 3 500 employees and over 350 000 patients receiving healthcare services per annum.
Operating as State Limited Liability Company “Pauls Stradins Clinical University Hospital” (hereinafter – PSCUH), the hospital is fully state-owned and its main areas of activity are secondary and tertiary level outpatient and inpatient treatment, medical education, as well as scientific and research activities. Based in Riga,PSCUH provides both routine and emergency healthcare services over 26 medical specialties to the Latvian population on the left bank of the river Daugava. Moreover, unique nationwide health services that are not available elsewhere such as transplants, cardiac surgeries, maxillofacial surgeries, obstetrics, emergency interventional radiology are provided to the entire Latvian population. PSCUH also ensures healthcare for patients transferred from regional medical institutions.
