The Interreg project DAPHNE (Decarbonising Healthcare in EU Regions) reached an important milestone with its 4th Interregional Learning Event, held on 18–19 March in Ełk, Poland. The meeting marked a key step forward as the project now moves into its implementation phase.
The event was officially opened by Deputy Mayor Mirosław Hołubowicz, together with the Executive Director of the Association of Municipalities Energy Cities, setting the tone for two days of collaboration and knowledge exchange.
Sharing best practices and real-life solutions
The first day focused on exchanging best practices from across Europe, with contributions from Poland, Belgium, Italy, Greece, and Ukraine. Participants also took part in study visits to:
-Pro-Medica City Hospital
-The Municipal Heating Company in Ełk
These visits provided concrete insights into how local systems are working with energy and healthcare in practice.
